Sunshine and better air quality returns to Long Island starting today

After Long Island got brushed by some light rain showers last night, those showers have ended and we have amazing weather news for several days starting today.

After Long Island got brushed by some light rain showers last night, those showers have ended and we have amazing weather news for several days starting today.
Just keep in mind that rip currents along the south shore will be elevated to moderate levels so please be careful and always swim where there is a lifeguard. That said, spend as much time as you can outdoors today through the weekend with better air quality than earlier in the week, too.
FORECAST:
TODAY: A mix of sun and clouds gives way to a mostly sunny sky. Air quality is better than the past few days and is expected to stay good to moderate which is fine for most people. Highs around 79 degrees. Breezy at times. UV Index: 8 (very high). There is a moderate risk of rip currents at ocean-facing beaches.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows near 62 degrees.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny. Low humidity. Highs around 80 degrees. Lows near 62 degrees.
SATURDAY: Sunny. Highs around 82 degrees. Lows near 65 degrees.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Slightly more humid. Highs around 85 degrees. Lows near 68 degrees.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs around 86 degrees. More humid. Lows near 70 degrees.
